Insight That Drives Progress

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What happens during an FBA?

A BCBA observes your child in natural settings (clinic, home, or school), reviews records, and interviews caregivers to identify the triggers and functions of each behavior.

2. How long does the assessment take?

Most FBAs are completed in two or three 60- to 90-minute sessions, plus a feedback meeting to discuss results and recommendations.

3. Will my insurance cover the evaluation?

Yes. Medicaid and most private insurers cover behavioral assessments when ordered by a licensed provider. We handle all prior authorizations.

4. Do parents need to be present?

We encourage caregiver participation for interviews and may request parent interaction during observation to capture typical routines.

5. What do we receive after the assessment?

You’ll get a written report outlining behavior functions, baseline data, individualized goals, and a recommended ABA treatment plan.
